Ms Abigail Hagan started her career with the Human Resources Department and later the Community Relations and Sustainability Department of Golden Star Bogoso Prestea Limited as a Consultation Officer; liaising between the Company and the community leaders and members, stakeholders and mining activists for four (4) year period.
Ms Hagan is currently an astute Administrator employed at the University of Mines and Technology, Tarkwa, for the past twelve (12) years. She has worked at the Departmental level in four (4) departments and is presently a Junior Assistant Registrar. They assist the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering in managing the administrative and human resource activities of the seventy-three (73) academic staff in the Faculty. Ms Hagan heads the administrative section of the Faculty and works with five (5) Administrative Assistants to implement the University policies and statutes.
Ms Abigail Hagan has extensive experience in writing and preparing job interview reports, specialised committee reports, and various meeting minutes in relation to examinations, quality assurance and introduction and accreditation of new programmes. She also prepares all correspondence related to student and staff letters and responds to letters from the University’s management offices.
Ms Hagan holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with Sociology from the University of Ghana, Legon, a Commonwealth Executive Master in Public Administration from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi and a Master in Communication and Media Studies with a specialisation in Business Communication from the University of Education, Winneba.
